Quote: Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or
acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes
out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny
ripple of hope... and crossing each other from
a million different centers of energy and daring,
those ripples build a current that can sweep
down the mightiest walls of oppression and
resistance.

Quote: Let all thy joys be as the month of May,
And all thy days be as a marriage day:
Let sorrow, sickness, and a troubled mind
Be stranger to thee, let them never find
Thy heart at home.

Does this situation sound familiar? You're looking at an aspect of your life that you've made headway and you make
that utter mistake of looking back. What at first seemed like a good idea now just seems like a mess and you want
to pull out.
What I'm going to suggest is to use The Power of If. Ask yourself, "If I knew what to do, what would I do?"
This question has immediate benefits. First of all, you're acknowledging that you don't know how to handle the
situation. This cuts out all the drama that goes along with a situation that challenges you. You're putting your
energy toward something other than beating yourself up.
Second, it gives you an action plan. If you ask yourself the question, you can almost always come up with an
immediate step to take, no matter how small. And that's all it takes. You just keep asking yourself the question
and keep taking action steps. Before you know it, you are that person who knows exactly what to do.
The Power of If. Try it.
