If You Want To Coast Down The Hill Of Life, Don't Let The Pointy Rocks Stop You
by Jan Tincher

If you want to coast down the hill of life, don't let the pointy rocks of bad thoughts stop you.

You are where your consciousness is focused. That is really so simple, yet many people don't understand.

What are you thinking about? That's what you are focused on. That's what you ARE.

If you think an unloving thought -- such as competition, envy, or worry, you feel the pain associated with competition, envy, or worry. They are the pointy rocks.

You feel the effects of where your consciousness is focused.

Where are you focused right now? Is it something you want to be focused on? Is it something you want to be associated with?

People often tell me, "I can think my thoughts any way I want. They aren't hurting anyone."

My, my, my. They may not be hurting the person you are thinking about -- and even that is debatable, but they ARE messing with you -- the person who is thinking them. Why else would you even be saying that? What kind of thoughts are you defensive about? What kind of thoughts are you secretive about? What kind of thoughts are you destroying your life with?

What about if you have good thoughts? How will your life go? Better, right? How is the view from the top of the Hill Of Your Life now? Smooth, right? No pointy rocks, because you've gotten rid of those bad thoughts. Right?

Now, you're ready to coast down the Hill Of Your Life. You're at the top, looking down at your goal.

(I know most people would say the goal is up, but I didn't know how to get you to coast up a hill. I liked the title, what can I say.)

An easy ride, right? Right. As long as we take care of our thoughts, we take care of our lives.

Start your day looking at the goal. If there are any rocks about to stop you, take care of them. Now, I know that taking care of them isn't necessarily easy, but it is simple. Do the cancel, cancel technique and take charge of your thoughts, making sure smooth rides are in your future. If you don't know the cancel technique, e-mail canceltechnique@tameyourbrain.com and I'll be glad to send it to you.

Thanks for reading.
